Why a noindex robots meta tag seems to have no effect

I don’t know, this flies in the face of everything I think I know about site indexing.

At the moment the homepage at www.acousticnightsmontreal.com has the same content as another page – www.acousticnightsmontreal.com/acoustic-nights-5.php. But this “duplicate” page has had a robots noindex meta tag since August 18. Sooooo…. it should not be indexed any more. Of course it has not been crawled since July 20 …. when it was OK to index it

I don’t want that page to be indexed NOW. But I will want it indexed again after October 7, when the homepage will be taken over by another event. And so on.

These pages roll over about every two months. I’m having a big problem with my setup obviously. The site doesn’t get crawled often enough for these details to get noticed and for Google to react quickly enough.

Also no idea why a page like www.acousticnightsmontreal.com/contact.php is still not indexed.

Something’s fishy …. and I’m impatient LOL
